Many countries are recovering from under-investment and backlogs in maintenance whilst experiencing significant and ongoing growth in demand for rail travel.
Recognising that countries face similar challenges, but have subtly different approaches to meeting them, NedRailways facilitates an active programme to promote the exchange of best practice between NS, Merseyrail and Northern Rail at an operational level. The aim is to bring the rail experts together on a regular basis and provide an infrastructure for building personal networks.
Communities of practice
Through such networks and forums the experts in each territory can share information and experience about their own challenges and solutions, and seek assistance on specific issues.
