Jochen Rau joined NedRailways in July 2005 as Business Development Director Germany.
Previously, Jochen had been senior project manager for corporate development at Deutsche Bahn, directing numerous strategic projects within its passenger division. Prior to that he had been a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, consulting mainly German and Italian clients in the transportation, logistics and telecommunication industries. Jochen had also co-founded and led a company in Milan specialising in software solutions for online financial services.
Jochen holds a PhD in physics from Duke University and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mathematics from Cambridge University. He maintains a keen interest in teaching, having taught physics, mathematics and, more recently, international management and marketing at various German universities.
