Dominic joined NedRailways in January 2007. Dominic has taken up the newly created role of Managing Director for NedRailways UK. In his role as Managing Director Dominic will take a position on the Boards of Merseyrail and Northern Rail, the two companies which NedRailways operates in partnership with Serco. He will also play an important role
in the mobilisation and development of new business opportunities.
Dominic has had a fast-track career within the UK rail industry. Involved in the restructuring of some of the early BR Shadow Franchises, to facilitate subsequent privatisation, Dominic was recruited by Connex Transport to head up the operations team in South East and South Central. He was subsequently head hunted by Prism Rail plc as Managing Director of their Wales & West franchise which was later acquired by National Express Group (NEG).
At NEG Dominic held a number of Managing Director positions, which included a period in charge of London Lines in which he ran all three London commuter TOCs within the NEG portfolio. He was promoted to the position of Deputy Chief Executive of the NEG trains division before finally leaving to join NedRailways.
