Best Practice
Together, the team aims to give best advice in all areas of rail operations, from maintenance and timetabling to station development and change management. To achieve this, we have a Best Practice programme which supplements the skill sets of our teams and sets a framework for bringing together the expertise and experience of the professionals from all our train operations in the UK and the Netherlands. The programme encourages individuals to share regularly their respective challenges and the various solutions they have implemented.
Bids and implementation
NedRailways operates an internal quality improvement programme aimed at enhancing the performance of the team and feeding back experience and data from our bids, mobilisations and operations to drive forward improvements to our bid processes, project management skills and to enhance the reliability and robustness of our data. This allows us we learn from our experience both as individuals and as a organisation.
Training
All new members of our team participate in an extensive training programme to help them to understand and capture the expertise available within the NedRailways’ team. Thereafter, team members participate in an ongoing programme of training aimed at fostering personal development, understanding and dealing with team dynamics, improving decision making processes and supporting cross-cultural communications.
